China’s auto exports surged 55.5% year-on-year (y-o-y) to top 2.11 mln units in the first nine months of the year, industry data shows. This was reported by The Xinhua News Agency.
Over 1.69 mln passenger cars were exported during the period, up 60.1% from the same period last year, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.The country’s commercial vehicle exports rose 39.2% y-o-y to 422,000 units in the same period, the association said.
New-energy vehicles have become a bright spot in China’s auto exports, with 389,000 units exported in the January-September period, skyrocketing more than 100% over the year prior. In September alone, China’s auto exports soared 73.9% y-o-y to 301,000 units, the data showed.
