In the first nine months of 2022, steel production decreased by 2.9 times or by 10,768,000 tons year over year to 5,526,000 tons.
This is stated in the information published on the website of the association of smelting enterprises Ukrmetalurgprom, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In the first nine months of 2022, the production of pig iron decreased 3 times or by 10,688,000 tons year over year to 5,460,000 tons, and the production of rolled products - 3.1 times or by 9,754,000 tons to 4,731,000 tons.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the first eight months of 2022, steel production decreased 2.8 times or by 9,404,000 tons year over year to 5,186,000 tons.
In 2021, steel production increased by 3.6% or 750б000 tons year over year to 21,366,000 tons.
At the same time, the production of cast iron increased by 3.6% to 21,165,000 tons, and the production of rolled products - by 9.1% to 1,672,000 tons.
