As of October 10, agricultural enterprises had sowed 1.8 million hectares with winter crops.
This follows from a statement by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to the report, 38% of the projected area is sown with winter crops.
In particular, 1.6 million hectares were sown with wheat (41% of the forecast), 154,000 hectares with barley (23%), and 49,000 hectares with rye (57%).
The farmers of Ternopil Oblast sowed the most winter crops - on an area of 129,000 hectares (61% of the forecast).
Also, agricultural producers of all regions of Ukraine completed the sowing of winter rapeseed, 994,000 hectares were sown with it (103% of the forecast).
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in September, farmers began sowing winter crops.
