September Inflation 1.9% - Statistics Service

In September 2022, consumer prices rose by 1.9%. This is stated in the report of the State Statistics Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Including prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages in September increased by 1.9%, for clothes and shoes - increased by 9.8%, for housing and utility services - increased by 0.9%, for services related to with health care - increased by 1.8%, for education - increased by 7.1%.

Compared to September 2021, consumer prices rose by 24.6% in September 2022.

In January-September 2022, inflation was 21.8%.

In September 2022, the basic consumer price index increased by 2.4%.

In January-September 2022, the basic consumer price index increased by 17.8%.

Core inflation is a sub-index of the consumer price index.

The basic CPI (basic inflation) is a part of inflation that shows the dynamics of free prices without taking into account items whose prices are affected by administrative and seasonal factors.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the State Statistics Service reported that in August 2022 inflation in Ukraine amounted to 1.1%.

And according to the notification of the National Bank of Ukraine, in August the cost of consumer goods of Ukrainians increased by almost 25%.

We will remind you that at the beginning of the year, the regulator lowered the inflation forecast in Ukraine for 2022 from 5% to 7.7%.
