Volume Of Trades On PFTS Stable At UAH 5.5 Billion In September

In September 2022, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange amounted to UAH 5.5 billion, which is equal to the results of August 2022.

This is stated in the message of PFTS, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

For the second month in a row, after the resumption of exchange trading in all types of securities, activity in the market is growing.

The number of issues of securities with which exchange contracts are concluded and the number of participants in exchange trading have increased.

In the trading structure for September, the share of government bonds amounted to 90.8% (UAH 4.96 billion); shares of foreign issuers - 8.7% (UAH 0.5 billion); corporate bonds - 0.5% (UAH 28.7 million) and shares of Ukrainian issuers - 0.004% (UAH 0.2 million).

In the "market of applications," 24% of transactions were concluded, in the "market of quotations" (including address agreements) - 76% of transactions.

In January-September 2022, the total volume of trading on PFTS amounted to UAH 64 billion, or 50% of the total volume of trading of the organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.

In September 2022, 35 bidders at PFTS entered into transactions with 55 issues of securities (government bonds - 24, shares of foreign issuers - 28, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 2, corporate bonds - 1).

In January-September 2022, 46 bidders entered into transactions with 110 issues of securities (government bonds - 52, OVDPs - 10, shares of foreign issuers - 28, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 7, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 8, municipal bonds - 4, bonds of foreign issuers - 1).

Among the 24 issues of government bonds with which transactions were concluded in September, 7 issues were with a maturity date in 2022 (UAH 1.1 billion); 12 issues - with a maturity date in 2023 (UAH 3.01 billion); 3 issues - with a maturity date in 2024 (UAH 0.23 billion) and 1 issue - with maturity dates in 2025 (UAH 0.54 billion) and 2027 (UAH 0.1 billion).

Since July 26, PFTS began trading in foreign currency denominated domestic government loan bonds.

In September 2022, 8 exchange contracts with government bonds worth USD 20.4 million and 1 exchange contract with government bonds worth EUR 0.14 million were executed in face value currency.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the PFTS stock exchange is one of the largest organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.

The PFTS index has been the official index of Ukraine in S&P Emerging Markets since 1997.

PFTS is a corresponding member of the World Stock Exchange Federation and a member of the International Stock Exchange Association.
