The Russian occupation administration of the Vovchansk district of Kharkiv region reported that the troops of the Russian Federation were leaving Vovchansk "in order to preserve the life of the population" against the background of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was announced by the occupation administration of the district on the Telegram channel.
"The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation leave Vovchansk! Temporarily. The entire population of the city continues to evacuate. United Russia member Yevgeny Yevtushenko announced the transfer of the headquarters from Vovchansk to Belgorod.
To preserve the life of the population, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation decided to leave our city. The administration of the city will be transferred to Belgorod. Branches of the administration will be located in Kursk, Yakutsk, Vladivostok and St. Petersburg, until the situation in the city stabilizes. Units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will definitely return all Russian lands in Kharkiv region to their control," the message says.
Earlier, the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhii Haidai hinted that the Ukrainian military is on the outskirts of the occupied city of Lysychansk and announced the beginning of the liberation of the city in the near future.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the flag of Ukraine was raised over Balakliya. The Ukrainian military was photographed at the entrance to Kupyansk.
On September 9, former Kharkiv City Council member and National Guard serviceman Mykyta Karakai said that units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered Izium.
