The Armed Forces of Ukraine has downed a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft and destroyed more than 80 invaders in the southern direction.
That follows from a statement by the South Operational Command.
According to the report, the situation in the operational zone in the southern Ukraine is tense and dynamic. The enemy continues defensive battles and insidious shelling of populated areas both along the contact line and in our rear areas.
To adjust the fire, the occupiers activate aerial reconnaissance. One such Orlan-10 type spy was shot down in Mykolayiv district. Trying to hold the occupied lines, the enemy once again used the tactics of air strikes in the direction of Bilohirka, Kostromka, Sukhyi Stavok, and Bezimenne.
Aviation of the AFU made 13 strikes, and missile, and artillery units performed more than 250 fire missions.
"Confirmed losses of the enemy are - 83 occupiers, 5 tanks, 12 howitzers MSTA-B and MSTA-C, 3 guns Giatsynt-B, 3 units of armored vehicles. 3 ammunition depots were destroyed in Hola Prystan, Tomyna Balka, and Snihurivka," the message reads.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, over the past day, the AFU repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the area of seven settlements.
