All bridges of strategic importance in Kherson region are unsuitable for the passage of heavy equipment, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed three pontoon crossings of the occupiers.

Nataliya Humeniuk, the head of the joint coordination press center of the defense forces of the South, announced this at a briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"We keep under fire control, because we are not destroyers, we do not destroy our infrastructure, but we do not give the enemy the opportunity to use it in its interests. That is, the damage that was inflicted on the objects is eloquent enough that these objects are not were used. But the occupiers continue to do so, despite the fact that it involves a risk to life. They continue to try to transport heavy equipment and ammunition on the edge of the risk. As a result, certain sections (of the Kakhovskyi bridge) were destroyed, because they could not withstand of this load," Humeniuk said.

According to her, at the moment all these bridges are completely impassable.

"That is why the Russians are setting up alternative routes (ferry, pontoon and barge crossings). We are also keeping them under fire control. Three pontoon crossings have already been destroyed," Humeniuk said.

According to the operative group of troops Kakhovka, in Kherson region the occupiers were left with almost no large bridges, which were destroyed by the Armed Forces thanks to the HIMARS rocket launcher systems, only pedestrian crossings remained.
