Work Of Doctors In Occupation Will Not Be Considered Collaborationism - Health Ministry

The activities of doctors in the occupation will not be qualified as cooperation with the occupiers.

The head of the Ministry of Health Viktor Liashko told about this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

"Providing medical aid and working in a health care facility will not be considered collaborationism. This was our position, which we agreed with the security forces, and made several statements on this matter. Cooperation with the occupiers for political reasons, which will be recorded, is possible to consider collaborationism," he said.

According to him, the medic will be justified if his steps were necessary for survival.

"Let our people work and provide medical care. Perhaps there will be some things that they will be forced to do, because it is a question of their survival. This is not cooperation - this is survival. But if a person himself showed initiative, wanted to head some conditionally created "health department" and supports the occupiers - then, of course, this is cooperation," Liashko added.

It will be recalled that earlier Liashko stated that the people who are currently experiencing the consequences of the war in Ukraine have aged 10-15 years.
