On Tuesday, August 16, the Ministry of Finance placed war bonds for UAH 71.5 million, which is the smallest amount since the beginning of the war.
This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The Ministry of Finance placed securities with a circulation period of 147 days for UAH 33.4 million at 12% per annum, 322 days - for UAH 6.1 million at 14% per annum and 406 days - for UAH 31.9 million at 16% per annum.
Before that, the smallest amount was raised on July 5, it amounted to UAH 128 million.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Finance reported that war bonds are primarily a tool to support the state budget during the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, and not a tool to maximize income from investment activities, so rates from war bonds remain fixed.
