In response to the challenges of the war, the Ukrainian education system underwent rapid modernization. Platform education is available to children of any age anywhere on the planet.
"The war left millions of Ukrainian children without the opportunity to study and caused serious damage to the educational infrastructure. However, thanks to volunteer projects and philanthropists, educators are making titanic efforts to make Ukraine a country of educated people after the victory and decades after," writes Novoe Vremya about how the Ukrainian educational community and modern technologies help children not to lose time which should be used for education.
Such projects are supported by the influential international humanitarian organizations UNESCO and UNICEF. One of their partners is the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Its digital platform includes classes, lectures and meetings; the weekly number reaches 30 events. The President of the National Academy of Sciences Stanislav Dovgiy regularly meets with the heads of international humanitarian development organizations, seeking support for educational projects, and his children, Oles and Oksana, jointly take care of educational projects of the National Academy of Sciences, such as, for example, the Museum of Science at VDNH, which is extremely popular among Kyiv residents.
"Currently, the Dovgiy family and the National Academy of Sciences are planning similar scientific and educational centres in other currently safe large cities of western Ukraine. One is already opened in Lviv; Chernivtsi and Uzhhorod are considering the following locations. Because of the war, many children and young people are now living there," the newspaper's journalists report. Oles Dovgiy assures that after the war, his family will make efforts for the further development of Science Museums throughout Ukraine, as well as for the creation of a campus to attract such partners as NASA and CERN to Ukraine. Recently, the SAS organized lectures by half a hundred Nobel laureates within the framework of this unique project, they communicated with Ukrainian listeners of various ages.

Online educational platforms help Ukrainian children to study normally. That is why the relevant ministry recommends them by popularising it on a special page of its official website.
In the list, we find another large innovative project EdEra. "This is an online ecosystem for learning and development of schoolchildren and educators. Its opportunities are available both to those in Ukraine and those who had to leave their homes because of the war. The project aims to make education high-quality and accessible to everyone. All courses are free of charge. However, after their completion, everyone who wants can thank with a donation. Learning here is taken quite seriously – course of lectures, homework, and regular exams," NV describes the online education system.
The EdCamp Ukraine professional initiative unites 40,000 professional educators. Its partners include the United Nations Population Fund and the United Nations Development Program, the EU representation in Ukraine, and the US embassy. The organization implements online development and training camps for schoolchildren of any age.
The Public Union "Osvitoria" also saves education. According to its estimate, about 7 million Ukrainian children suffered in one way or another from the war and its consequences. Now the platform helps them all get back to school. "Thanks to cooperation with international partners, we create projects that allow children to get quality education even during the war," says founder Zoia Lytvyn. Among the new projects of "Osvitoria" are webinars for preparing for the NMT (National Multi-Subject Test), which have collected 2 million views, and more than 100,000 children have prepared for the multi-test on the platform. Now, together with international partners, the union is creating a gamified educational product — a mobile application for learning language and mathematics.
"You can find affordable ways not to stop the development and not to interrupt your education," the authors of the review of accessible educational platforms note and explain their special value at present. "Every minute devoted to education contributes to the victory of Ukraine not only today but also decades after the war."
