As of July 29, agricultural enterprises have harvested 11.8 million tons of grain and leguminous crops from an area of 3.5 million hectares (29%).
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In particular, 8 million tons of wheat from an area of 2.3 million hectares, 3.5 million tons of barley from an area of 1.073 million hectares and 193,000 tons of peas from an area of 96,500 hectares were harvested.
In addition, 1.8 million tons of winter rapeseed was collected from an area of 702,000 hectares (61%).
According to the report, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Donetsk, Kyiv and Mykolaiv regions completed the threshing of peas, and farmers of Vinnytsia and Zakarpattia regions completed the collection of winter barley.
At that, agricultural producers of Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia and Kirovohrad regions have ground more than 1 million tons of grain each.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ukrainian Grain Association raised the forecast of grain and oilseeds harvest this year by 4.4%, or 2.9 million tons, to 69.4 million tons.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food predicts a decrease in cereal and oilseed crops by 38.7%, or 41 million tons, to 65 million tons in 2022 compared to 2021.
Farmers collected 106 million tons of grain, legumes and oilseeds in 2021, which is the largest indicator in the history of independent Ukraine.
More than 84 million tons of grain and legumes was collected, oilseeds - 22.6 million tons.
