Ukraine has received a USD 1.7 billion grant from the Single-Donor Trust Fund established by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Development Association (IDA) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on Twitter, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"This is the second U.S. grant in the last two weeks. The total amount of assistance was USD 3 billion," he wrote.
The grant was attracted on a gratuitous, non-refundable basis to the state budget of Ukraine from USAID with the support of IBRD and IDA.
The funds will be used to cover the costs of the state budget to pay for medical services under the program of medical guarantees.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, in late June, the state budget of Ukraine received a grant from the United States in the amount of USD 1.3 billion.
In early July, the state budget of Ukraine received a grant from Germany in the amount of EUR 1 billion.
