Russian occupation forces are storming Sievierodonetsk in Luhansk region, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding defence. This is stated in the operational update on the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Tuesday, June 14.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the enemy did not take active action. As part of the check of combat readiness of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, exercises were conducted with units of Special Operations Forces.
In the Sivershchyna direction, the enemy continues mortar shelling of settlements in border areas, including civilian infrastructure in the area of the settlement of Mykhalchyna Sloboda, Chernihiv region.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy focused its main efforts on maintaining the occupied frontiers. To restrain the actions of units of the Defense Forces, it carries out systematic fire on the positions of Ukrainian troops. In addition, Russian occupiers fired on civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Dementiivka, Ruska Lozova, Mospanove and Bazalivka. The enemy remotely mined the area in the areas of Bairak, Peremoha and Shestakove. It conducts assault operations near Rubizhne, fighting continues.
In the Sloviansk direction, systematic enemy artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of the settlements of Tetianivka, Chepil, Dolyna, Dibrivne and Bohorodychne.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy did not take any active action. It fired artillery at civilian infrastructure in the Siversk area.
In the Sievierodonetsk direction, Russian invaders fired on civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Bila Hora, Ustynivka, Toshkivka and others. Russians also launched helicopter strikes near Metiolkine. The enemy is conducting assaults in the city of Sievierodonetsk, fighting continues. The enemy is regrouping troops and trying to strengthen the group.
In the Bakhmut direction, the occupiers fired at Ukrainian troops with mortars, barrel and jet artillery in the areas of Mykolaivka, Berestove, Vrubivka, Pokrovske and New York. Enemy army aircraft launched an air strike near Bilohorivka. In the Berestove area, Ukrainian soldiers repulsed an enemy assault, inflicted losses on the enemy and forced them to retreat to their former positions. The enemy is conducting assault operations in the area of the settlement of Zolote, the fighting continues.
In the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhia directions, the aggressor did not conduct active hostilities. It fired on civilian infrastructure near Avdiivka, Mariinka and Huliaipole. It struck with assault and army aircraft in the areas of Sribne and Mali Shcherbaky. It conducted reconnaissance in battle near Pavlivka.
In the Pivdennyi Buh direction, Russians fired on units of Ukrainian troops and tried to launch counter-battery fire. In the areas of Trudoliubivka, Tokareve, Bashtanka, Kvitneve, Luch, Tavriiske, and Oleksandrivka, occupiers fired at the infrastructure with artillery, mortars, and multiple rocket launchers. The enemy conducts reconnaissance in this direction using UAVs. It remotely mined some parts of the Inhulets River. It also continues to engineer its positions.
In the Bessarabian direction, the situation has not changed significantly.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the enemy switched to positional defense in the Kharkiv direction.
The invaders are trying to take full control of Bohorodychne to develop an offensive against Sloviansk.
At that, the Russian army in battles in Ukraine lost 32,500 military, 1,434 tanks and 3,503 armored fighting vehicles.
