Over 741 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation.
The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"As of the morning of June 8, 2022, the official number of child victims per day has not changed - 263. The number of those wounded has increased - 478," it says.
Children affected the most in Donetsk region - 190, Kharkiv region - 122, Kyiv region - 116, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 53, Kherson region - 52, Mykolayiv region - 47, Zaporizhzhia region - 30, Sumy region - 17, Kyiv city - 16, and Zhytomyr region - 15.
On June 5, as a result of shelling by the occupiers, the village of Dobropillia, Polohy district of Zaporizhzhia region, a 9-year-old boy was wounded.
In the course of fixing criminal offenses, it became known that 10 children were wounded in Kharkiv region.
Due to the constant bombing and shelling of Ukrainian cities and villages by the armed forces of the Russian Federation, 1,958 educational institutions were damaged. At the same time, 186 of them were completely destroyed.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, journalists learned the name of the wife of the Russian occupier, who wanted to torture Ukrainian children.
On March 19, the occupiers illegally took to Russia 2,389 children who were in the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
