In the morning, the Russian invaders fired on the railway infrastructure in Kyiv. 4 missiles hit the Darnytsia Car Repair Plant, which is located on the left bank of the capital. This was announced by the head of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia Oleksandr Kamyshyn in his Telegram channel.
Kamyshyn said that among the railway workers one was wounded, he was provided with medical assistance.
“We did not make any public statements about the shelling, because in this case the movement of passenger trains was not delayed. But the Russian Ministry of Defense did not remain silent. They once again lied that the target of the strike was “T-72 tanks and other armored vehicles supplied by Eastern European countries in the buildings of the car repair enterprise." I officially declare: there is no military equipment on the territory of the plant. This plant repaired gondola cars and grain carriers used to transport export products," Kamyshyn said.
He invited all the journalists today to the plant to confirm that Russia has once again lied, and that their real goal is the Ukrainian economy and the civilian population.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, Russian occupiers attacked Kyiv with cruise missiles. Explosions were heard in Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts. One person was injured in the impact and was taken to the hospital. No deaths were reported.
After the hitting in the capital, there was a smell of smoke in the air. In one of the districts, a severe fire was recorded. In addition, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported an air defense operation.
The command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Kyiv was fired with missiles by Russian aircraft from the Caspian Sea.
Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, said that the missile strikes on Kyiv, which were carried out by Russian troops today, June 5, have only one goal - to kill as many Ukrainians as possible.
