Zelenskyy Proposes To Extend General Mobilization Until August 22

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has proposed to extend the general mobilization from May 25 for 90 days, that is, until August 22.

This is stated in bill No. 7390 of May 18, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The initial mobilization was introduced on February 24.

According to the decree, it is held within 90 days from the date of entry into force of the document.

Consequently, it ends on May 25.

With a new bill, the head of state proposes to extend it from May 25 for 90 days.

The explanatory note indicates that the adoption of the bill will contribute to the adoption of adequate measures aimed at repelling Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Defense is focused on the need to provide 1 million people who will fight the Russian invaders.

8 members of the Verkhovna Rada propose to parliament to exempt university teachers from mobilization, regardless of their scientific degree.
