NBU’s Currency Net Sales On Interbank Market Amounted To USD 322 Million And EUR 30 Million On May 9-13

The net sale of foreign currency by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in the interbank foreign exchange market in the period from May 9 to May 13 amounted to USD 321.8 million and EUR 29.7 million.

This is evidenced by the NBU data, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In the second week of May, the NBU sold significantly more currencies than it bought: dollars - by USD 321.8 million, euros - by EUR 29.7 million.

During the reporting week, the National Bank bought only USD 5.5 million and EUR 4 million.

Since the beginning of the year, the National Bank has bought USD 1.8 billion and EUR 110.97 million on the interbank market, and sold USD 6.4 billion and EUR 1.78 billion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2021 the National Bank bought USD 3,690.7 million on the interbank foreign exchange market and sold USD 1,275.7 million.

In 2020, the NBU bought USD 4,929 million on the interbank foreign exchange market and sold USD 3,891 million.

In 2019, the National Bank bought USD 8,462.6 million on the interbank foreign exchange market and sold USD 529.23 million.
