The total State (direct and secured) debt of Ukraine in January decreased by 2.15% or USD 2.06 billion month over month to USD 93.32 billion.
That follows from the data by the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
State and state-secured debt at the end of February amounted to UAH 2,730.08 billion, or USD 93.32 billion, compared to UAH 2,745.42 billion, or USD 95.38 billion a month earlier.
The total amount of direct state debt as of February 28 amounted to UAH 2,406.11 billion (USD 82.25 billion) against UAH 2,424.65 billion (USD 84.24 billion) a month earlier.
At the same time, direct external debt increased from USD 47.38 billion month over month to USD 47.46 billion.
Direct domestic debt decreased in hryvnia equivalent from UAH 1,060.99 billion to UAH 1,017.67 billion (in dollar terms it decreased from USD 36.86 billion to USD 34.89 billion).
As of February 28, the state-secured debt amounted to UAH 323.96 billion, or USD 11.07 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2021, the state debt increased by 8.52%, or by USD 7.69 billion, year over year to USD 97.95 billion.
In 2020, the total state debt increased by 6.9%, from USD 84.4 billion to USD 90.3 billion.
In 2019, State and state-secured debt increased by USD 6.05 billion, and decreased by UAH 170 billion in hryvnia equivalent.
The total state (direct and secured) debt of Ukraine in November increased by 1.64%, or USD 1.52 billion, month over month to USD 94.15 billion.
State and state-secured debt at the end of September amounted to UAH 2,445.52 billion, or USD 92.02 billion, against UAH 2,485.35 billion, or USD 92.53 billion month over month.
The total State (direct and secured) debt of Ukraine in August decreased by 0.47%, or USD 0.44 billion, month over month to USD 92.53 billion.
State debt increased by 0.5% to USD 92.96 billion in July.
