Hungary's actions give Russia more space for the offensive and murders.
The speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleh Nikolenko, wrote this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The Foreign Ministry speaker has reacted to a fresh statement by the Hungarian Foreign Minister that Hungary will not let the supply of weapons for Ukraine through its territory and in the future will not support the expansion of sanctions on energy supply from Russia.
"We have already heard these narratives, including from Russian officials. We hope that Hungary, as a neighboring state, will reconsider its position for the sake of common peace in Europe," Nikolenko wrote.
He stressed that it concerns not only the interests and security of the Ukrainian people, but also the fundamental principles on which Europe, including Hungarian society, is based.
"This is not the war of Ukraine. This is Russia's war against the entire democratic world. To support Ukraine with one hand, and the other to finance the Russian aggression machine by buying oil and gas, is, in fact, to give Russia more space to attack and kill," Nikolenko wrote.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that Hungary will not allow the supply of weapons for Ukraine through its territory, and will not support the expansion of sanctions on energy supply from Russia.
