The number of killed children has risen by 7 to 135 and the number of injured by 12 to 184 since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The Prosecutor General’s Office has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
“As of the morning of March 25, 2022, 135 children were killed in Ukraine due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. 184 children were injured. Children suffered the most in Kyiv region - 64, Kharkiv region - 44, Donetsk region - 46, Chernihiv region - 34, Mykolaiv region - 25, Zaporizhia region - 26, the capital - 16, Zhytomyr region - 15, Kherson region - 15 and Sumy region - 14," the statement says.
It is noted that as a result of fierce fighting in Rubizhne, Luhansk region, 2 children were killed.
On March 24, 2 children aged 6 and 13 were injured due to shelling by the Russian military of the village of Novomykhailivka, Mariinskyi district, Donetsk region.
Also on March 24, in the village of Obilne, Melitopol district, Zaporizhia region, 3 teenagers (13, 14 and 15 years old) exploded on a mine.
They were hospitalized in the Melitopol hospital, one of them is in intensive care in serious condition.
Due to daily bombing and shelling, 566 educational institutions were damaged, 73 of which were completely destroyed.
More than 230 schools and 155 kindergartens were damaged and destroyed.
The worst situation is in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, Chernihiv regions and the city of Kyiv.
Besides, more than 40 institutions for children, including medical institutions, art schools, sports facilities, and libraries, were damaged by enemy fire.
It is indicated that these data are not final, given the lack of the possibility of inspecting the places of shelling in areas where active hostilities are taking place and in temporarily occupied territories.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the occupiers are inciting collaborators to kidnap children in Kharkiv region.
