The Cabinet of Ministers has added agricultural machinery, spare parts and equipment for agricultural work necessary for farmers to the list of critical imports.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The government has expanded the list of critical imports to include agricultural machinery, spare parts, equipment for agricultural work necessary for farmers. It concerns tractors, agricultural machinery, trucks, truck tractors, sprayers, irrigation equipment, seeders, all tillage equipment, tanks, etc.," the statement says.
On February 24, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a list of critical imports, including oil and oil products, retail medicines, medical devices, tires, human and animal blood, poultry, corn, mineral fertilizers, meat, sunflower seeds, tea and coffee, wheat flour, sugar, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, body armor, military and tactical uniforms, unmanned aerial vehicles, oxygen, cotton fabrics, glass jars and other goods.
At that, on February 28, the Cabinet of Ministers expanded the list of critical imports to include milk and dairy products, eggs, honey, meat, cereals, soybeans, vegetable juices and extracts, fats and oils of animal and vegetable origin, and other goods.
The Cabinet of Ministers also recommended the National Bank to ensure the implementation of cross-border foreign exchange payments for operations on the import of these goods.
Besides, on March 5, the government also included in this list Wi-Fi from Starlink, power banks, primary cells and primary batteries, portable electric lights operating using their own energy source, tanks, barrels, canisters, sprats, sardines, sourdough, cultures of microorganisms and other goods.
Also on March 13, the Cabinet of Ministers added to the list of critical imports yogurt; kefir; waters, including mineral and carbonated; raw tobacco; tobacco waste; salt (including table and denatured); hydrogen, inert gases and other non-metals; photographic plates and films; doors, windows and their frames, platbands and thresholds made of plastic; cotton wool and other goods.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced licensing for the export of wheat and a mixture of wheat and rye (meslin), corn, chicken meat, eggs and sunflowerseed oil and suspended the export of meat, buckwheat, sugar, and salt.
