On February 8, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 38,257 over February 7 to 4,380,047, and the number of deaths increased by 240 over February 7 to 101,887; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 11.4%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 5.9%.
The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, as of the morning of February 9, a total of 4,380,047 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 101,887 deaths; 3,713,348 had recovered.
On February 8, a total of 38,257 new disease cases were recorded, 240 people died, and 17,063 people recovered.
Therefore, as of February 8, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those recovered (38,257 vs 17,063).
At the same time, on February 8, a total of 4,385 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, up twice over February 7.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 7, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 34,353 over February 6 to 4,341,790, and the number of deaths increased by 255 over February 6 to 101,647; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 46.9%, and the number of new deaths rose 2.2 times.
On February 6, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 23,378 over February 5 to 4,307,437, and the number of deaths increased by 115 over February 5 to 101,392; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 16%, and the number of new deaths increased by 5.5%.
