Total State Debt Up 1.6% To USD 94.2 Billion In November

The overall state (direct and state-secured) debt of Ukraine in November increased by 1.64% or UAH 1.52 billion over October to USD 94.15 billion.

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In November 2021, the total state and state-secured debt of Ukraine in equivalent in national currency amounted to UAH 2,558.52 billion (USD 94.15 billion in foreign currency equivalent) against UAH 2,438.6 billion (USD 92.63 billion) in October.

The total amount of direct state debt as of November 30 amounted to UAH 2,255.28 billion (USD 82.99 billion) against UAH 2,168.94 billion (USD 82.20 billion) over October.

At the same time, direct external debt increased from USD 45.02 billion over October to USD 45.68 billion.

Direct domestic debt increased in hryvnia equivalent from UAH 978.60 billion to UAH 1,014.1 billion (in dollar terms it increased from USD 37.17 billion to USD 37.32 billion).

The state-guaranteed debt as of November 31 amounted to UAH 303.24 billion or USD 11.16 billion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2020, the state debt increased by 6.9% from USD 84.4 billion to USD 90.3 billion.

In 2019, state and state-guaranteed debt increased by USD 6.05 billion, and in hryvnia equivalent decreased by UAH 170 billion.

At the same time, in 2019, the size of the direct state debt increased by USD 7.2 billion, and in hryvnia equivalent decreased by UAH 98.9 billion.

The total state (direct and guaranteed) debt of Ukraine at the end of 2018 increased by 2.6% or USD 2.02 billion to USD 78.32 billion.

The state and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine in 2017 increased in dollar terms by 7.5% or USD 5.33 billion to USD 76.31 billion.
