Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 2.4 times To 6,029, Number Of Deaths Up 2.2 times To 346 On December 20

On December 20, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 6,029 over December 19 to 3,616,716, and the number of deaths increased by 346 over December 19 to 93,608; at the same time, the number of new cases rose 2.4 times, and the number of new deaths rose 2.2 times.

This follows from data of the Ministry of Health, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of December 21, a total of 3,616,716 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 93,608 deaths; 3,357,405 had recovered.

On December 20, a total of 6,029 new disease cases were recorded, 346 people died, and 18,850 people recovered.

Therefore, as of December 20, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (6,029 vs 18,850).

At the same time, on December 20, a total of 1,061 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 15.5% over December 19.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 19, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,536 over December 18 to 3,610,687, and the number of deaths increased by 157 over December 18 to 93,262; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 29.6%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 10.8%.

On December 18, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 3,602 over December 17 to 3,608,151, and the number of deaths increased by 176 over December 17 to 93,105; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 52%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 38.9%.
