Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 7.2% To 8,899, Number Of Deaths Down 7.6% To 328 On December 16

On December 16, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 8,899 over December 15 to 3,597,046, and the number of deaths increased by 328 over December 15 to 92,641; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 7.2%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 7.6%.

This follows from data of the Ministry of Health, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of December 17, a total of 3,597,046 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 92,641 deaths; 3,306,465 had recovered.

On December 16, a total of 8,899 new disease cases were recorded, 328 people died, and 21,650 people recovered.

Therefore, as of December 16, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (8,899 vs 21,650).

At the same time, on December 16, a total of 2,028 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 2.9% over December 15.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 15, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 9,590 over December 14 to 3,588,147, and the number of deaths increased by 355 over December 14 to 92,313; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 18.3%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 0.3%.

On December 14, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 8,109 over December 13 to 3,578,557, and the number of deaths increased by 356 over December 13 to 91,958; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 11.3%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 8%.
