The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has refused to provide information on whether President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was interrogated in the case of preparing a coup.
That follows from a response of the SSU to the inquiry of Ukrainian News.
The Authority argued this by the fact that such information contains data from a pre-trial investigation.
The SSU announced that it was investigating the preparation of a coup by individual citizens of Ukraine and Russia.
The case is being investigated under article 109 of the Penal Code of Ukraine.
Other information, according to the SSU, contains information from the pre-trial investigation and can be disclosed only with the permission of the investigator or prosecutor, and such permission has not yet been received.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Zelenskyy said that there was information about the preparation of a coup on December 1 with the participation of businessman Rinat Akhmetov.
Akhmetov called Zelenskyy's information about his involvement in a coup a lie.
