Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 6.1% To 23,785, Number Of Deaths Up 12.4% To 614 On October 21

On October 21, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 23,785 over October 20 to 2,725,385, and the number of deaths increased by 614 over October 20 to 63,003; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 6.1%, and the number of new deaths increased by 12.4%.

This follows from data of the Ministry of Health, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of October 22, a total of 2,725,385 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 63,003 deaths; 2,361,365 had recovered.

On October 21, a total of 23,785 new disease cases were recorded, 614 people died, and 8,530 people recovered.

Therefore, as of October 21, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (23,785 vs 8,530).

At the same time, on October 21, a total of 5,141 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, up 5.1% over October 20.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 20, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 22,415 over October 19 to 2,701,600, and the number of deaths increased by 546 over October 19 to 62,389; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 18.5%, and the number of new deaths increased by 10.3%.

On October 19, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 18,912 over October 18 to 2,679,185, and the number of deaths increased by 495 over October 18 to 61,843; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 21.4%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 8%.
