Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 18.5% To 22,415, Number Of Deaths Up 10.3% To 546 On October 20

On October 20, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 22,415 over October 19 to 2,701,600, and the number of deaths increased by 546 over October 19 to 62,389; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 18.5%, and the number of new deaths increased by 10.3%.

This follows from data of the Ministry of Health, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of October 21, a total of 2,701,600 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 62,389 deaths; 2,352,835 had recovered.

On October 20, a total of 22,415 new disease cases were recorded, 546 people died, and 8,036 people recovered.

Therefore, as of October 20, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (22,415 vs 8,036).

At the same time, on October 20, a total of 4,892 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 10.5% over October 19.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 19, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 18,912 over October 18 to 2,679,185, and the number of deaths increased by 495 over October 18 to 61,843; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 21.4%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 8%.

On October 18, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 15,579 over October 17 to 2,660,273, and the number of deaths increased by 538 over October 17 to 61,348; at the same time, the number of new cases rose 1.6 times, and the number of new deaths rose 3 times.
