State Commission On Technogenic And Environmental Safety And Emergencies Classifies Kherson Region As Red Epidemic Zone From October 15

The State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies has classified Kherson region as a "red" zone of epidemic danger since October 15.

Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov announced this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

He noted that an extraordinary meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies was held on Tuesday.

"Based on the results, the State Commission decided to establish: from 12 a.m. on October 15, 2021, the "red" level of the epidemic danger of the spread of COVID-19 in Kherson region and to apply restrictive anti-epidemic measures in Kherson region, provided for the "red" level of epidemic danger," he wrote.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Health on October 9 updated the list of quarantine zones, according to which 16 regions are in the "orange" zone of epidemic danger, the rest of the regions are in the "yellow" zone.
