Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 8.2% To 16,362, Number Of Deaths Down 23.2% To 241 On October 7

On October 7, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 16,362 over October 6 to 2,514,005, and the number of deaths increased by 241 over October 6 to 58,081; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 8.2%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 23.2%.

This follows from data of the Ministry of Health, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of October 8, a total of 2,514,005 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 58,081 fatal cases; 2,282,482 had recovered.

On October 7, a total of 16,362 new disease cases were recorded, 241 people died, and 4,720 people recovered.

Therefore, as of October 7, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (16,362 vs 4,720).

At the same time, on October 7, a total of 3,526 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 0.4% over October 6.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 6, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 15,125 over October 5 to 2,497,643, and the number of deaths increased by 314 over October 5 to 57,840; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 20.2%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 1.8%.

On October 5, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 12,662 over October 4 to 2,482,518, and the number of deaths increased by 320 over October 4 to 57,526; at the same time, the number of new cases rose 28.6%, and the number of new deaths rose 0.9%.
