Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 28.6% To 12,662, Number Of Deaths Up 0.9% To 320 On October 5

On October 5, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 12,662 over October 4 to 2,482,518, and the number of deaths increased by 320 over October 4 to 57,526; at the same time, the number of new cases rose 28.6%, and the number of new deaths rose 0.9%.

This follows from data of the Ministry of Health, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of October 6, a total of 2,482,518 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 57,526 fatal cases; 2,273,382 had recovered.

On October 5, a total of 12,662 new disease cases were recorded, 320 people died, and 4,630 people recovered.

Therefore, as of October 5, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (12,662 vs 4,630).

At the same time, on October 5, a total of 3,745 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, up 1.9 times over October 4.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 4, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 9,846 over October 3 to 2,469,856, and the number of deaths increased by 317 over October 3 to 57,206; at the same time, the number of new cases rose 2 times, and the number of new deaths rose 2.8 times.

On October 3, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 4,821 over October 2 to 2,460,010, and the number of deaths increased by 114 over October 2 to 56,889; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 39.5%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 9.5%.
