Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 2.3 Times To 5,159, Number Of Deaths Up 3.1 Times To 137 On September 20

On September 20, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 5,159 over September 21 to 2,355,805, and the number of deaths increased by 137 over September 21 to 55,056; at the same time, the number of new cases rose 2.3 times, and the number of new deaths rose 3.1 times.

The Ministry of Health has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of September 21, a total of 2,355,805 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 55,056 fatal cases; 2,233,573 had recovered.

On September 20, a total of 5,159 new disease cases were recorded, 137 people died, and 2,156 people recovered.

Therefore, as of September 20, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (5,159 vs 2,156).

At the same time, on September 20, a total of 1,086 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 13.5% over September 21.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 19, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,265 over September 18 to 2,350,646, and the number of deaths increased by 44 over September 18 to 54,919; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 43.1%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 4.3%.

On September 18, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 3,983 over September 17 to 2,348,381, and the number of deaths increased by 46 over September 17 to 54,875; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 36.1%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 41.8%.
