Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 15.3% To 6,624, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 2% To 99 On September 16

On September 16, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 6,624 over September 15 to 2,338,164, and the number of deaths increased by 99 over September 15 to 54,750; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 15.3%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 2%.

The Ministry of Health has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of September 17, a total of 2,338,164 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 54,750 fatal cases; 2,228,543 had recovered.

On September 16, a total of 6,624 new disease cases were recorded, 99 people died, and 1,914 people recovered.

Therefore, as of September 16, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (6,624 vs 1,914).

At the same time, on September 16, a total of 1,568 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, up 3.4% over September 15.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 15, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 5,744 over September 14 to 2,331,540, and the number of deaths increased by 101 over September 14 to 54,651; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 23.8%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 8.6%.

On September 14, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 4,640 over September 13 to 2,325,796, and the number of deaths increased by 93 over September 13 to 54,550; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 39.3%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 4.1%.
