Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 19% To 2,477, Number Of New Lethal Cases Stable At 44 September 1

On September 1, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,477 over August 31 to 2,290,848, and the number of deaths increased by 44 over August 31 to 53,877; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 19%, and the number of new lethal cases remained at the level of August 31.

The Ministry of Health has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of September 2, a total of 2,290,848 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 53,877 fatal cases; 2,209,754 had recovered.

On September 1, a total of 2,477 new disease cases were recorded, 44 people died, and 889 people recovered.

Therefore, as of September 1, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (2,477 vs 889).

At the same time, on September 1, a total of 787 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 24% over August 31.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 31, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,075 over August 30 to 2,288,371, and the number of deaths increased by 44 over August 30 to 53,833; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 53%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 13.7%.

On August 30, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,356 over August 29 to 2,286,296, and the number of deaths increased by 51 over August 29 to 53,789; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 81%, and the number of new lethal cases rose 2.8 times.
