In the period of August 25-28, the National Bank of Ukraine entered the interbank foreign currency market for the first time since early July, and sold USD 20.5 million.
The central bank has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The NBU sold USD 20.5 million at a uniform rate.
Since the start of the year, the NBU has acquired USD 1,084.8 million, and sold USD 190 million at a uniform rate.
Besides, using the Matching mechanism, it has acquired USD 296.3 million.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2020, the NBU acquired USD 4,929 million, and sold USD 3,891 million on the interbank foreign currency market.
In 2019, the NBU acquired USD 8,462.6 million, and sold USD 529.23 million on the interbank foreign currency market.
