The Ministry of Economy has reduced the maximum price of gasoline (taking into account the maximum level of the trade markup) by 3.6% to UAH 30.53 per liter, and diesel fuel - by 1.9% to UAH 28.11 per liter.

The Ministry of Economy has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"In accordance with the requirements of paragraph 41 of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 9, 2020 No. 1236 "On the establishment of quarantine and the introduction of restrictive anti-epidemic measures in order to prevent the spread in Ukraine of the acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus", based on the calculations of Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company (letter dated May 21, 2021 No. 16/2-74/1/CM-21), the average cost of 1 liter of ULSD diesel fuel 10 ppm was determined, which is UAH 21.11, and 1 liter of automobile gasoline GASOLINE 10 ppm, which is UAH 25.53," the statement reads.

Thus, taking into account the maximum level of the trade mark-up, the maximum price for gasoline is UAH 30.53 per liter, and for diesel fuel – UAH 28.11 per liter.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 2, the Cabinet of Ministers increased the maximum price of gasoline by 55 kopecks per liter and diesel fuel by 62 kopecks per liter.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers set the maximum level of the trade markup of UAH 5 per liter for gasoline and UAH 7 per liter for diesel fuel and tied prices to the indicators of the international news agency Platts CIF NWE.
