Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 51.5% To 300, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down Twice To 5 On August 8

On August 8, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 300 over August 7 to 2,259,451, and the number of deaths increased by five over August 7 to 53,100; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 51.5%, and the number of new lethal cases fell two times.

The Ministry of Health has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of August 9, a total of 2,259,451 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 53,100 fatal cases; 2,191,202 people had recovered.

On August 8, a total of 300 new disease cases were recorded, five people died, and 281 people recovered.

Therefore, as of August 8, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (300 vs 281).

At the same time, on August 8, a total of 400 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 28.7% over August 7.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 7, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 619 over August 6 to 2,259,151, and the number of deaths increased by 10 over August 6 to 53,095; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 41.3%, and the number of new lethal cases fell two times.

On August 6, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,054 over August 5 to 2,258,532, and the number of deaths increased by 20 over August 5 to 53,085; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 2.5%, and the number of new lethal cases rose by 25%.
