Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 2.8% To 1,081, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 36% To 16 On August 5

On August 5, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,081 over August 4 to 2,257,478, and the number of deaths increased by 16 over August 4 to 53,065; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 2.8%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 36%.

The Ministry of Health has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of August 6, a total of 2,257,478 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 53,065 fatal cases; 2,189,293 people had recovered.

On August 5, a total of 1,081 new disease cases were recorded, 16 people died, and 478 people recovered.

Therefore, as of August 5, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (1,081 vs 478).

At the same time, on August 5, a total of 516 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 3% over August 4.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 4, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,052 over August 3 to 2,256,397, and the number of deaths increased by 25 over August 3 to 53,049; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 6.9%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 41.9%.

On August 3, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 984 over August 2 to 2,255,345, and the number of deaths increased by 43 over August 2 to 53,024; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 19%, and the number of new lethal cases rose by 65.4%.
