Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 19% To 984, Number Of New Lethal Cases Up 65.4% To 43 On August 3

On August 3, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 984 over August 2 to 2,255,345, and the number of deaths increased by 43 over August 2 to 53,024; at the same time, the number of new cases rose by 19%, and the number of new lethal cases rose by 65.4%.

The Ministry of Health has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of August 4, a total of 2,255,345 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 53,024 fatal cases; 2,188,273 people had recovered.

On August 3, a total of 984 new disease cases were recorded, 43 people died, and 570 people recovered.

Therefore, as of August 3, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (984 vs 570).

At the same time, on August 3, a total of 572 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, up 71.3% over August 2.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 2, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 827 over August 1 to 2,254,361, and the number of deaths increased by 26 over August 1 to 52,981; at the same time, the number of new cases rose 3 times, and the number of new lethal cases rose 6.5 times.

On August 1, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 265 over July 31 to 2,253,534, and the number of deaths increased by four over July 31 to 52,955; at the same time, the number of new cases fell by 45.2%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 33.3%.
