Digital Transformation Ministry And Amazon Sign Memorandum To Accelerate Digital Transformation In Ukraine

The Ministry of Digital Transformation and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have signed a memorandum to accelerate digital transformation in Ukraine.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov wrote about this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Yesterday, July 15, in London, Fedorov and Director of Government Transformation at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Liam Maxwell signed a memorandum of understanding to accelerate digital transformation in Ukraine.

“Another global technology giant has started to work in Ukraine. The beginning of our cooperation is a positive signal to other large international companies and brands that it is possible and necessary to enter Ukraine,” Fedorov wrote.

The memorandum provides for cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Amazon in the following areas:

development of skills in working with cloud technologies; modernization of the IT system and the policy of the Ministry of Digital Transformation in the field of cloud technologies; implementation of the strategy of the Ministry of Digital Transformation for the development of IT infrastructure and the diffusion of cloud technologies, in particular, through the development of small and medium-sized businesses and start-ups that use cloud solutions. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Ukrainian universities will be able to join the AWS Academy program for free.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in June Apple (the United States) opened an office in Ukraine.
