Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 13.7% To 1,188, Number Of New Lethal Cases Up 29.5% To 55 On June 16

On June 16, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,188 over June 15 to 2,227,225, and the number of deaths increased by 55 over June 15 to 51,902; at the same time, the number of new cases increased 13.7%, and the number of new lethal cases increased 29.5%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of June 17, a total of 2,227,225 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 51,902 fatal cases; 2,145,660 people had recovered.

On June 16, a total of 1,188 new disease cases were recorded, 55 people died, and 4,682 people recovered.

Therefore, as of June 16, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (1,188 vs 4,682).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 15, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,045 over June 14 to 2,226,037, and the number of deaths increased by 78 over June 14 to 51,847; at the same time, the number of new cases increased 3%, and the number of new lethal cases increased 1.3%.

On June 14, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,014 over June 13 to 2,224,992, and the number of deaths increased by 77 over June 13 to 51,769; at the same time, the number of new cases increased 2.4 times, and the number of new lethal cases increased 5.9 times.
