Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 51% To 420, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 60.6% To 13 On June 13

On June 13, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 420 over June 12 to 2,223,978, and the number of deaths increased by 13 over June 12 to 51,692; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 51%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 60.6%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of June 14, a total of 2,223,978 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 51,692 fatal cases; 2,130,665 people had recovered.

On June 13, a total of 420 new disease cases were recorded, 13 people died, and 3,328 people recovered.

Therefore, as of June 13, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (420 vs 3,328).

As of the morning of June 14, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 41,621, down 6.6% over June 13.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (210,938), Kharkiv region (147,901), and Odesa region (140,146).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 136,968 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 134,930; Kyiv region – 126,703 cases, Zaporizhia region – 104,046, Donetsk region – 90,129, Khmelnytskyi region – 88,530, Zhytomyr region – 88,167, Ivano-Frankivsk region - 86,552, Cherkasy region – 81,343, Chernivtsi region – 79,405, Rivne region – 79,172, and Sumy region – 77,520.

A total of 77,487 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 13,879 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 69,909 cases - in Ternopil region, 69,483 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 61,939 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 61,883 cases – in Volyn region, 57,337 cases – in Chernihiv region, 35,422 – in Kherson region, 26,390 – in Luhansk region, and 20,499 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 12, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 857 over June 11 to 2,223,558 and the number of deaths increased by 33 over June 11 to 51,679; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 32.7%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 52.2%.

On June 11, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,274 over June 10 to 2,222,701 and the number of deaths increased by 69 over June 10 to 51,646; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 20.5%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 1.4%.
