Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 10.2% To 1,603, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 27.8% To 70 On June 10

On June 10, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,603 over June 9 to 2,221,427, and the number of deaths increased by 70 over June 9 to 51,577; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 10.2%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 27.8%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of June 11, a total of 2,221,427 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 51,577 fatal cases; 2,120,780 people had recovered.

On June 10, a total of 1,603 new disease cases were recorded, 70 people died, and 5,583 people recovered.

Therefore, as of June 10, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (1,603 vs 5,583).

As of the morning of June 11, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 49,070, down 7.6% over June 10.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (210,520), Kharkiv region (147,740), and Odesa region (140,049).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 136,821 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 134,759; Kyiv region – 126,501 cases, Zaporizhia region – 103,909, Donetsk region – 90,026, Khmelnytskyi region – 88,464, Zhytomyr region – 88,083, Ivano-Frankivsk region - 86,515, Cherkasy region – 81,262, Chernivtsi region – 79,642, Rivne region – 79,091, and Sumy region – 77,444.

A total of 77,427 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 70,831 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 69,841 cases - in Ternopil region, 69,352 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 61,905 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 61,812 cases – in Volyn region, 57,257 cases – in Chernihiv region, 35,344 – in Kherson region, 26,368 – in Luhansk region, and 20,464 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 9, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,785 over June 8 to 2,219,824, and the number of deaths increased by 97 over June 8 to 51,507; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 29%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 26%.

On June 8, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,385 over June 7 to 2,218,039, and the number of deaths increased by 77 over June 7 to 51,410; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 13.5%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 34.7%.
