Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 29% To 1,785, Number Of New Lethal Cases Up 26% To 97 On June 9

On June 9, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,785 over June 8 to 2,219,824, and the number of deaths increased by 97 over June 8 to 51,507; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 29%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 26%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of June 10, a total of 2,219,824 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 51,507 fatal cases; 2,115,197 people had recovered.

On June 9, a total of 1,785 new disease cases were recorded, 97 people died, and 6,513 people recovered.

Therefore, as of June 9, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (1,785 vs 6,513).

As of the morning of June 10, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 53,120, down 8.3% over June 9.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (210,303), Kharkiv region (147,671), and Odesa region (139,976).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 136,708 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 134,638; Kyiv region – 126,396 cases, Zaporizhia region – 103,812, Donetsk region – 89,943, Khmelnytskyi region – 88,423, Zhytomyr region – 88,056, Ivano-Frankivsk region - 86,497, Cherkasy region – 81,202, Chernivtsi region – 79,611, Rivne region – 78,999, and Sumy region – 77,387.

A total of 77,370 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 70,796 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 69,810 cases - in Ternopil region, 69,296 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 61,878 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 61,760 cases – in Volyn region, 57,187 cases – in Chernihiv region, 35,302 – in Kherson region, 26,348 – in Luhansk region, and 20,453 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 8, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,385 over June 7 to 2,218,039, and the number of deaths increased by 77 over June 7 to 51,410; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 13.5%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 34.7%.

On June 7, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,602 over June 6 to 2,216,654, and the number of deaths increased by 118 over June 6 to 51,333; at the same time, the number of new cases increased 3 times, and the number of new lethal cases increased 3.6 times.
