Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 3 Times To 1,602, Number Of New Lethal Cases Up 3.6 Times To 118 On June 7

On June 7, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,602 over June 6 to 2,216,654, and the number of deaths increased by 118 over June 6 to 51,333; at the same time, the number of new cases increased 3 times, and the number of new lethal cases increased 3.6 times.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of June 8, a total of 2,216,654 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 51,333 fatal cases; 2,101,722 people had recovered.

On June 7, a total of 1,602 new disease cases were recorded, 118 people died, and 6,751 people recovered.

Therefore, as of June 7, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (1,602 vs 6,751).

As of the morning of June 8, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 63,599, down 7.6% over June 7.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (209,825), Kharkiv region (147,456), and Odesa region (139,869).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 136,525 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 134,444; Kyiv region – 126,152 cases, Zaporizhia region – 103,736, Donetsk region – 89,824, Khmelnytskyi region – 88,300, Zhytomyr region – 87,972, Ivano-Frankivsk region - 86,423, Cherkasy region – 81,096, Chernivtsi region – 79,562, Rivne region – 78,936, and Sumy region – 77,281.

A total of 77,254 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 70,724 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 69,744 cases - in Ternopil region, 69,184 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 61,821 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 61,655 cases – in Volyn region, 57,088 cases – in Chernihiv region, 35,167 – in Kherson region, 26,300 – in Luhansk region, and 20,416 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 6, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 535 over June 5 to 2,215,052, and the number of deaths increased by 33 over June 5 to 51,215; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 42.9%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 21.4%.

On June 5, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 937 over June 4 to 2,214,517, and the number of deaths increased by 42 over June 4 to 51,182; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased two times, and the number of new lethal cases decreased two times as well.
