Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 42.9% To 535, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 21.4% To 33 On June 6

On June 6, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 535 over June 5 to 2,215,052, and the number of deaths increased by 33 over June 5 to 51,215; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 42.9%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 21.4%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of June 7, a total of 2,215,052 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 51,215 fatal cases; 2,094,971 people had recovered.

On June 6, a total of 535 new disease cases were recorded, 33 people died, and 1,743 people recovered.

Therefore, as of June 6, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (535 vs 1,743).

As of the morning of June 7, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 68,866, down 1.8% over June 6.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (209,125), Kharkiv region (147,390), and Odesa region (139,842).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 136,466 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 134,384; Kyiv region – 126,073 cases, Zaporizhia region – 103,644, Donetsk region – 89,751, Khmelnytskyi region – 88,267, Zhytomyr region – 87,961, Ivano-Frankivsk region - 86,411, Cherkasy region – 81,056, Chernivtsi region – 79,539, Rivne region – 78,781, and Poltava region – 77,263.

A total of 77,195 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 70,700 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 69,730 cases - in Ternopil region, 69,119 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 61,807 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 61,629 cases – in Volyn region, 57,080 cases – in Chernihiv region, 35,152 – in Kherson region, 26,275 – in Luhansk region, and 20,411 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 5, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 937 over June 4 to 2,214,517, and the number of deaths increased by 42 over June 4 to 51,182; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased two times, and the number of new lethal cases decreased two times as well.

On June 4, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 1,897 over June 3 to 2,213,580, and the number of deaths increased by 86 over June 3 to 51,140; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 16.2%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 9.4%.
