Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 12.2% To 2,266, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 6.9% To 95 On June 3

On June 3, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,266 over June 2 to 2,211,683, and the number of deaths increased by 95 over June 2 to 51,054; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 12.2%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 6.9%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of June 4, a total of 2,211,683 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 51,054 fatal cases; 2,080,382 people had recovered.

On June 3, a total of 2,266 new disease cases were recorded, 95 people died, and 8,291 people recovered.

Therefore, as of June 3, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (2,266 vs 8,291).

As of the morning of June 4, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 80,247, down 7.1% over June 3.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (208,439), Kharkiv region (147,232), and Odesa region (139,760).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 136,321 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 134,078; Kyiv region – 125,780 cases, Zaporizhia region – 103,491, Donetsk region – 89,653, Khmelnytskyi region – 88,194, Zhytomyr region – 87,851, Ivano-Frankivsk region - 86,357, Cherkasy region – 80,964, Chernivtsi region – 79,460, Rivne region – 78,648, and Poltava region – 77,165.

A total of 77,157 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 70,638 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 69,622 cases - in Ternopil region, 68,890 cases - in Mykolayiv region, 61,749 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 61,544 cases – in Volyn region, 57,039 cases – in Chernihiv region, 35,034 – in Kherson region, 26,243 – in Luhansk region, and 20,374 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 2, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,581 over June 1 to 2,209,417, and the number of deaths increased by 102 over June 1 to 50,959; at the same time, the number of new cases rose 17%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased 35%.

On June 1, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,205 over May 31 to 2,206,836, and the number of deaths increased by 158 over May 31 to 50,857; at the same time, the number of new cases rose 3.2%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased 3.1%.
