On May 13, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 681 over May 12 to 201,209, and the number of deaths increased by 22 to 4,905.

Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the start of the epidemic, a total of 4,905 fatal cases have been registered in Ukraine’s capital.

There were 402 women aged 18-92; 260 men aged 18-85; eight girls aged 2-17; and 11 boys aged 1-17 among the people infected with the coronavirus on May 13.

The overall number of those infected included nine medical workers.

On May 13, a total of 88 patients with coronavirus, and 144 people with suspected coronavirus and pneumonia were hospitalized to the capital's hospitals.

At the same time, 848 people recovered.

Since the start of the epidemic, a total of 130,961 Kyivans have recovered.

The largest number of coronavirus cases was registered in Darnytskyi district – 128, Shevchenkivskyi district – 115, and Solomiyanskyi district – 110.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 12, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 726 over May 11 to 200,528, and the number of deaths increased by 29 to 4,883.

On May 13, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 7,562 over May 12 to 2,143,448, and the number of deaths increased by 287 over May 12 to 47,620; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 11%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 17%.

According to the report, as of the morning of May 14, a total of 2,143,448 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 47,620 fatal cases; 1,832,601 people had recovered.

On May 13, a total of 7,562 new disease cases were recorded, 287 people died, and 15,958 people recovered.

Therefore, as of May 13, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (7,562 vs 15,958).

As of the morning of May 14, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 263,227, down 3.2% over May 13.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (201,209), Kharkiv region (142,415), and Odesa region (137,201).
