Number Of People Vaccinated With 1st Dose Up 8.5% To 18,486 May 12

On May 12, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine increased 8.5% over May 11 to 18,486.

The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 901,107 people have been vaccinated including 3,828 people who received the second dose of the vaccine.

As of May 12, a total of 543,099 were on the vaccination waiting list.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 11, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine increased 8.8 times over May 10 to 17,031.

On May 12, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 6,813 over May 11 to 2,135,886, and the number of deaths increased by 346 over May 11 to 47,333; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 50.1%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 2.8%.

According to the report, as of the morning of May 13, a total of 2,135,886 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 47,333 fatal cases; 1,816,643 people had recovered.

On May 12, a total of 6,813 new disease cases were recorded, 346 people died, and 19,507 people recovered.

Therefore, as of May 12, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those who recovered (6,813 vs 19,507).

As of the morning of May 13, the overall number of currently coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine was 271,910, down 4.6% over May 12.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (200,528), Kharkiv region (141,750), and Odesa region (136,833).
